Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a group of lung conditions that causes breathing difficulties. It's characterized by an abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs, causing obstructed airflow, and is typically caused by long-term exposure to irritating gases. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two most common conditions that contribute to COPD.
